This morning, I woke up at 9:00 am and had dumpling soup for breakfast. After breakfast, I brewed my own coffee. I loved the aroma that filled the room. Then I headed to the gym for the stair climber workout, which we call "Stairs to Heaven" - and it really lives up to its name! I worked out while listening to "Whiplash" by aespa (a K-pop group), which was perfect for keeping me motivated. Afterward, I went to the sauna. I always love going to the sauna after exercising because it helps me unwind.

Next, I went to yoga at Sunday Namaste in Euljiro. I was a bit worried about being slightly late. Today's class focused on pelvis alignment, which was really beneficial for me. The incense and aromatherapy scents were wonderful, creating such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I really like today's instructor, Daneung, because she's excellent at correcting postures and respects my own pace and flow in yoga. At the beginning of class, she shared something meaningful: "We should keep our mind in the 'present,' not in the past or future. When you find yourself dwelling on past memories or future worries, try to bring your focus back to the present moment and today."

Her words really touched my heart because lately, I've been distracted by worries about things that haven't even happened yet. During yoga, as I was sweating and focusing on my posture and breath, it helped me let go of these worries. I feel that both yoga and working out help me align my mind and focus on what I can do now, rather than fixating on things far in the future.

- "In morning" → "This morning" (특정 아침을 지칭할 때)

- "went to gym" → "headed to the gym" (특정 장소를 지칭할 때) 한국어에는 없는 a/an/the의 사용이 어렵죠.

- "by my own" → "on my own" (혼자서 한다는 표현) 한국어와 영어의 전치사 사용이 다른 경우가 많아서 주의가 필요합니다.

- "I could be there late little bit" → "I might be a little late" 가능성을 표현할 때는 could보다 might가 더 자연스러운 경우가 많습니다.

  • "lives up to its name" (이름값을 한다)
  • "unwind" (긴장을 풀다)
  • "let go of (worries)" (걱정을 놓아주다)
  • "bring your focus back to" (집중을 ~로 돌리다)

  • "touched my heart" (마음에 와닿았다)
  • "fixating on" (~에 사로잡히다)

  • "headed to" (~로 갔다) - "went to"보다 더 캐주얼하고 자연스러운 표현
  • "Afterwards" (~후에) - "After that"의 더 세련된 표현

  • "creating such a peaceful atmosphere" (평화로운 분위기를 만들며)

  • "it really lives up to its name"
  • "it was perfect for keeping me motivated" 이런 강조 표현들은 일기나 일상 대화에서 자주 사용됩니다.

  • "because it helps me unwind"
  • "which was really beneficial for me" 단순히 'because'만 사용하는 것보다 다양한 연결어를 사용하면 더 자연스러워집니다.
